Ever been to the Ozarks? Well if you have not let me tell you about it! Even in dy summers the trees are pure green, the rings are as cold as at least 20* but they are moving so it does not freeze! There are clear rivers and ivy growing in rocks! Perfect camping grounds! So that's why I chose the Ozarks for this group!lwe are Indians in this roleplay. (oops! I meant the Americans have come!! Lol so continue: with some other kids. Indians were by,planning an ambush and they saw me, I was two years old. I was crying, my family gave me away. The did not want me. They knew were I was going and orphanages were pretty mean back then. When the driver was not looking they took me. The chief did. Ever since then I grew up as the chiefs daughter. I am one of them now. I love climbing rocks. That's my talent other than the bow and arrow. I love horses but am not good at riding them. I would rather go on foot.) I wake up. The sun is shining through the tippees crack. I get up. It is only 5 in the morning. I can tell by the sun. I help my mom make breakfast with the other moms. First the hunters eat (the boys) and then we eat. I go out after and go to the spring. I get a bucket of water and bring it back. I wash off and so do the other kids(remember the water is freezing!!) I get on my outfit and leave my hair. My mom cuts it even though other kids always have super long hair.nit is to short to braid. I go to the little school. We learn about our tradition. I eat lunch out of the new skin of the buffalo my father shot last night. I have meat,and corn and an apple. I go back into the school house.. -Lucy

(ok my name is rose goonese im 12 and im 4 and a half feet tall. my parents are kinda like the doctors of our tribe, and they've been training me. im tan and i have dark brown hair that almost looks black its and goes down to my waist i hate to braid my hair so i just leave it down, and everyone thinks im a rebel because of that, but im not. i have long bangs that go to the right side of my face and covers my right i my i eyes are a beautiful brown and i have pale pink lips. and i wear a dear skin dress. the sleeves go down to my elbows it kinda hangs off my arms then the end of my dress there are lines cut so its like strings are hanging off of it and i wear a necklace with big blue beads. and i have tan moccasins that are the same color as my dress. im an only child and my dad's first name is bear and my moms first name is lilac. I love to go on adventures. im kinda boyish so a lot of my friends are boys but im also friends with lots of girls. im really friendly and nice. i can survive using mostly anything am really smart, and not afraid to stand up for myself, and im a good fighter im good with bow an arrow and knife and i luv to ride horses and i have a horse named pine she is big and she is completely white with blonde hair and brown eyes she's very friendly

As I wait I draw on my chalkboard. The teacher walks in after lunch. I erase it quickly do she will not punish me with the prattle. Finally school is over and I run back home. I tell me mom I gota 91 on history. I then grab my bow and arrows. My fater is nice enought to let me hunt. He says every girl should. Even though he is the chief he is not as controlling as some other ones. I run to the spring and climb a huge rock. I sit on top under the tall trees. I take a night out of my apple and look around for any rabbits. I shoot two and continue eating my apple (thanks so much for joining! No Americans and native Americans never got along. Only some family's. Maybe your characters family can live by them and your parents like them but you do not and your family visits and does stuff with us a lot)

I jump down from a tree, and snicker to myself. I just cut school for the third time this week. What do those stupid, pasty people know anyways? I saunter back towards camp confidently. " Renee!" A voice shouts. I flinch. Only teachers call me by my american name. I turn and see Mrs. Campbell, a large pale woman, who is always wearing the same heavy long skirt, even in hot weather like this. " Renee! Where were you today?" she asks, her little piggy eyes narrow and hard. I hate this woman. " I was sick." i say flatly, thinking how stuppid the english must sound coming from me. "For the past THREE days?"she says, and i can tell she doesn't believe me.Even if i was telling the truth she wouldn't." Yes" i answer firmly, " Me be there tomorrow". I turn, and dash away as quickly as i can, before she can correct my words, which i know i got wrong...i always do. I charge back into camp, and start heading for my families hut. "Takenya!" My mother's voice rings sharply across the clearing. I stalk grumpily over to her, where she is helping make a big pot of some sort of soup. " yes, mom?" i ask, happy to be using my native language again. "you need to help your brother make his arrows. He is running late for the hunt...AGAIN..", she say. " no." i say, "he's so STUPID! I could finish a whole quiver of arrows in a hour when i was Four! He's seventeen, and about to be married, and he takes a whole day to make even half a quiverful! " i fume. " that's why you have to help him." my mom says patiently " it's a womans duty to help". "Ugh!" i groan furiously. i spin on my heel, and stalk over to my brother, who is surrounded in broken bits of wood and stone. I seize all the supplies, and begin making arrows, my hands flying. Within ten minutes, i have a full quiver of arrows ready. I toss them in to my brothers quiver, throw the quiver to my brother, and stand up. That's when i realize i have an audience. All the hunters, who are waiting for my brother have gathered around, and were watching me put the arrows together. i blush a little bit.
One of the younger guys, who looks about sixteen whistles, "Now THAT'S a girl I'd marry", he says with a playful smirk. The other guys his age all laugh. " Well, what a conicidence", i reply with a flirtatious smile, " your exactly the kind of guy i WOULDN'T marry." i finish, dropping the smile. " oooh, she got you on that one, Enapay" snickers another guy. Enapay grins, " what's your name?" he asks. "Takenya" i reply shortly. "Takenya..." he says, "well i'll talk to you later Takenya." he says, flashing me a smile. "I wouldn't count on it." I say sharply, turning on my heel and stalking away. when i get back to my hut i look outside, and watch Enapay as he leaves. He's not bad looking, in fact, he;s very handsome. Must be about 6'2
with dark tan skin, deep brown eyes, strong jaw, perfectly sculpted six pack abs, muscley arms, black hair, shaved close to his head, indicating that he recently was put in scool, where all the boys must get shaved heads the first day that they are ever in school. most boys hair grows all the way back after a year, so Enapay must be new to school. I watch him, as he tests his bowstring, drawing it back, his arms flexing. " Now THAT'S a man i wouldn't mind marrying." i whisper to myself.-Takenya

I back up feeling a little invaded. I never even got a chance to get my question answered. I stutter and say I have to go. I walk away feeling a little angry. I get to our tipped and do the little homework we we asigned. I decide I want to go hunting so I go to the little woods no one ever goes to. I climb up a tree and take out my bow and arrows. I pull it back and release. The bow goes straight, fast, making a shwoooo sound. It hits straight in the eye of a squirrell. I climb back down, get the squirrell and arrow and continue walking through the woods. I push away the bushes and trees revealing a small spring. Water trickles down the rocks. I set down my arrows on top of the rock and put the animals I captured up so no sneaky animals can get them. A hawk crows ask slip off my moccasins. No one else knows about this spring. And no one will find it unless I want them to. I take off my dress and leave my underclothes on. (they swam in their underclothes, well girls did) I hop off the rock and sink to the bottom. The chilling water runs across my dry skin. Little fish swim around me. I kick the water and go farther under. I grab a fish or two and go back up for air. I set them on the rocks beside the spring. The water is fear so I see the little fish swimming through my open legs. I go under again and catch two more. Afterwards I just enjoy the cool water. I swim around pretending to be q mermaid, a myth m moth told me when i was little. Afterwards I get out and dry off. I dry off by sitting on top of the hot rock. I then put my normal dress on and slip on my moccasins. I sling the bow and quiver of arrows over my shoulder and attach the animals I caught onto my hunting belt. I go back making sure to sneak out of the "forbidden woods" I think of what my father told me of why they are called that. Apparently other tribes ancestors decided to haunt us. So they took over those woods. I decided it was a myth. I go into my tippee to see my mom is already fixing dinner with e other moms. I hand up the small animals but bring the two rabbits, I go to the tribe tippee and take off the skin of the rabbits for my mom. I place the meat on a small pan the blacksmith gave us for Christmas. I cook it until it is tender and juicy. I put it on the plates of other rabbits. I set the table and sit in my spot as the moms bring out the rabbit stew, the plain rabbits, carrots and celery and tomatoes. I wait for the other children outside on a small lot.. -Lucy (sorry for the long post! And please no one find the forest she goes into! It's her little private place!)

shes skilled in archery swimming and horse riding ( bare back)
she is really nice and makes friends with almost everyone. she is also smart and can help out in though times or problems. her horse is a black stallion and is named sparkle to go with her name aurora. she is from the Wanona tribe they live by the ocean so they are all good swimmers but aurora is one of the few that have learned horse riding.
Wanona tribe eats lots of fish so they swim to catch them. the girls usally ask their dads to hunt for racoon or dear so their moms can sew them a dress.

"hi lucy" i say, nodding to her. I turn to Rose. "i'd love to hunt" i say, "but unfortunately, my mom thinks otherwise....she'd prefer me to be cooking, cleaning, mending, and of course, " i make a face , " practicing my english, and helping my brother and father make their arrows and bows." I sigh looking at my bare feet. " And here comes my mom now.."i add, seeing my mom walking across the clearing looking excited. "See you later Rose" i say, going over to meet my mom. " I saw you talking with Enapay" My mother says, looking like she's about to explode with happiness. "yeah, so?" i say indifferently. " well" she says, " it is about that time for you to start looking for a husband....ar you considering Enapay? He's quite handsome, and so skilled with the bow and arrow....yes, i will speak to his mother about you too..." before i can say anything, she's gone, hurring across the clearing, practically jumping up and down with happiness. i stomp back to our hut, and sieze a knife. i run out into the woods,and climb a willow tree. i chop off a thin branch, just the right thickness for a bow. it strip off the leaves, and then start carving it with my knife. after an hour, i have a perfect, flawless bow. i make a bow string, and string my bow. i carve some arrows out of some smaller branches. i climb to the ground, my bow slung over my back, my arrows held in my teeth.i find a small patch of rocks, and chip them into arrow heads. i fit them into the arrow shafts, and then i load an arrow in to my new bow. holding the rest of the arrows in my teeth, i silently creep through the bushes, my bowstring relaxed. after a half an hour of scouting, i spot a deer. a huge, strong, big, male deer. i hear the whoops of the far off boys hunting party, and know that if i want this deer, i had better act quickly. in a flash, i have shot the arrow, sending it in to the deer's side. The deer jumps away, but im too quick for it. i have another arrow loaded and fired into it's front leg in a matter of seconds. it stumbles and falls, now helpless. i sling my bow over my back and pull out my knife. i walk forward and kneel next to the deer. it thrashes, and i set my arrows down, and place a hand on it's neck. it stops moving, looking at me in terror. "Brother deer, I thank you for giving up your life so that my people and i might eat. With these thanks, i send you into the next life." i whisper. I then quickly slice it's throat, wincing as it begins to bleed. i put my knife away, and then i realize how stupid i've been. How am i supposed to carry a fully grown male deer all the way back to camp? "Need some help?" Says a males voice. I whip my head around, and see Enapay. "Enapay." i say." where are the others.?" "On their way back to camp." he says carelessly, approaching the deer. " Nice catch" he says, eyeing the deer with approval. " the biggest I've ever caught was a young male deer...about half this one's size..". "Is the great Enapay admitting to being bested by a mere female?" i ask, with a grin. " quite on the contrary my dear." he says with a wink, " I'm only noticing the size so that i can get one bigger than it." i roll my eyes. " Well, are you going to hel me or not?" i ask. " I'll help you". he says " here's a quiver to carry your arrows in by the way." i take the quiver, and put my arrows in it. I then hide the quiver and the bow in a hollow log. Enapay hoists the deer over his shoulderd with a groan. i quickly hurry over and help him. " Thanks" he gasps, "it's heavier than i thought it would be." we carry the deer back to camp. at the entrance, i turn to Enapay. "Enapay?" I say, "Yeah?" he asks , "do me a favor and say this is your catch, ok?" i say. "But why?" he asks in confusion. "cause...i'm not exactly...supposed to be hunting..." i say, looking at the ground. "Sure" he says, his voice gentle. I look up, and see him looking at me, an odd expression on his face, like he doesn't know what to think of me. " Sit by me tomorrow at school, ok?" he says, "we're in the same class i think...you just missed the first three days." i nod, a little smile on my face. " I'll sit by you." i say, thinking that not even fat old, Mrs.Campbell will be able to mess up my day tomorrow. me and Enapay, walk in to camp then, holding our deer proudly.-Takenya

( i am on a ship and making my way to the ozarks with my dad and mom) mom: dear are you sure you will be able to stay here alone? me: mother im 13 years old i can handle myself. (i smile and hug both of my parents) dad:mira! ( mira means look! he points to the island) me: bye mom and dad ill see you soon. ( i jump off the boat and swim all the way to the island which is one mile away.) me: hmm theres not that many lakes here like in Wanona but it will suffice. (suffice means it will do) ( i make sure the sack of food i have is sealed tight so it does not get wet. i am also carrying fresh water in a container which is sealed. 30 minutes later i am at the island. it is bigger than Wanona but more rocky and dry. it will suffice. i dry myself with the racoon fur that was in my sack and i set down my things and begin to take them out. i take out my bow and arrow and put the arrows into my quiver pocket. i use a rope i found on the ground to make my sack a purse and i sling it around my shoulder. i hold my water jug in my hands. my clothes fall out of their sack so i use some bear skin fur to make a convienent sack to hold the clothes in a pile so it does not fall. next i find some rocks and put them in a circle. i put some grass in the middle of the circle then i put wood on top then more grass. i use 2 sticks to light in on fire. next i take two large branches and tie them together with wire and then i drape some clothe around it with more sticks and wire. i cut a hole in the clothe for a door. this is my temporary hut. it will suffice ( lol she says that a lot)
i unfold a rug that was in my sack and put it in my hut for flooring so i can sleep on it. ) -aurora clawford

( i take a knife out of my pocket and start to create new bows out of wood. i keep carving and carving until they come out perfectly. about 20 minutes have passed and i decide to hunt for food since im hungry. i wander into the forest. i lick my finger and stick it in the air. the wind is moving south. i start going up a hill and see a rabbit. i hide behind a bush and ready my arrow. i strike the arrow and it hits the bunny. i run up to the bunny.) thank you for giving away your life so i may eat. may you rest in peace. ( i knife the bunny and carry it to my fire pit. i knife away all the fur and de-bone the meat. then i cook it for 20 minutes and it is ready. i go back inside the hut and do a little ritual since this is my first meal on this island) thank the gods above for this meal ( i eat it and fall asleep on a full stomach )

I sprint to supper from my favorite tree in the woods. I was watching the trees around me for a painting when I faintly heard the bell. I scramble into my seat just as my mother glances over to check if I am on time. I smile at her and try to look as if I didn't just run the length of the woods. I settle down next to some girls from my new school. I'm really small, so I can fit at the crowded table. My name even means "little one." I guess I deserve it- I am only 4 feet 10 inches! A girl (is her name Lucy? I think so.... I hate being the new girl!) is talking about hunting. I eat a bit of the delicious dinner and ask her a question. "Do you hunt a lot? (welcome to the ozarks ayasha. you can stumble over my character if you want my hut is right near a small lake) ( after an hour of sleeping i wake up and realize its already dusk. i start to clean up all of the remains of my fire and the rabbit ( which i disrespectfully didn't clean up.) and put them into compost. i love to garden. i say " may the gods accept my apology for not cleaning up these remains" i still haven't met anyone yet so i go to the main village to seek new friends) ( if anyone wants to introduce themselves to aurora that would be great)

" An artisan, cool! i want to become an artist. i make my own paint and everything with berries and eggs" i turn to lucy "ok lucy i'll meet you at 10:00 PM. it was really nice meeting you two. i hope we become really good friends." i bow down and walk back to my tent to prepare for the hunt. i grab my quiver that holds my bows and put it in ( the belt you use to hold tools its called a utility belt but mine is made of cow hide) also i put my newest invention into the belt. i call it a wooden shurikin. ( the ones ninjas use im just gonna pretend she invented it lol) i also take some dirt and whipe it on my face for camuflage. i also stick some leaves and twigs into my hair.
( i really like to hunt) i practice ducking and rolling into bushes and i decide to change into something else since im wearing a dress. i use the sundial that my dad gave me to see what time it is. its only 9:30 right know so i decide to wait in my hut.

That night, i can barely sleep. I'm so nervous.....Enapay asked me to meet him at the edge of camp at full dark (9:30). A soon as the time comes, i sit up, from my bed of bear and rabbit fur, and deer skin. i change out of my sleeping dress, and change into my brown deerskin dress. it's very pretty. I finished making it just a month ago, and have never worn it. them bottom of the dress has tassles cut on it, and green, blue, and gold glass beads sewn on to it. I check to make sure that my parents and brother are asleep, and then i creep outside, treading softly, barely making a sound. I reach the edge of camp, and sink into the shadows, waiting for Enapay to show up. about ten minutes later. I see him sneaking through the camp towards me. When he reaches the edge, i come out of the shadows. He sees me, and nods towards the forest. We walk silently about two miles into the forest. "Enapay" i hiss. He looks at me. I point up at a tree, and he nods. we climb the tree, until we come to a fork about thirty feet up. We sit there, and talk about, school, our families, friends, what we want to do when get get done with school." I want to go out, see the country...I...I want to be a dancer.." I say. "A dancer?" Enapay asks, "what kind of dancer?" I smile a little. " A ballet dancer..they're just so graceful and beautiful....I want to be like that..." I say softly. Enapay nods. "I don't know what I want to do...." he says, "I suppose just stay with the tribe...hunt..." I watch his face. He looks wistful, almost sad.
Six hours later, it's time to go back to the camp. We climb down from the tree, and begin our walk back to camp.We get back, just as the sun is peeking over the horizon. "Bye..." I say to Enapay, breaking a awkward scilence.I start to walk away. "Takenya!" He says. I turn to look at him." I-i..." he walks up to me. our faces our inches apart. My heart starts to pound in nervousness. "Goodnight" He whispers. And then, he bends forward, and kisses me on the cheek. I feel my face immediately get hot. I try to form words, but he's already gone. I stand there for a moment, dazed.-Takenya

oh ya!! there was a book but it was opposite. american girls were forced to marry and have children with the tribe. the american goverment made the criminals do it so they could get there freedom. to get there freedom they had to live and have children for two years. i did not read it but people say its good!!)

With a groan, i push myself up. i change in to my "white man's" clothes: a white blouse, a blue green,and white plaid skirt that goes to my ankles and some flat black shoes. I hate shoes. My mother combs out my hair, and braids it into a single braid down my back. she ties it with a bit of white string." Bye mom" i say. I walk out of camp with the other kids, heading towards school."Takenya!" Enapay's voice rings clearly across the crowd. I turn, and see him, wearing black school pants, shoes, and a white polo shirt. I walk towards him. He falls in to step with me. "What's your English name?" he asks "Don't want to get in trouble for calling you by your Native name...". "Renee." I say, "what's yours?" "Michael" he replies. I watch the sun rise from my tree. Sometimes I sneak out here at night and watch the gentle lapping of the water of the lake on the rocks. When the sun is fully risen, I run back home and find my mother waiting for me. "My little deer," she laughs. She calls me that because I'm almost always late, and then I have to run like a swift deer to get there. I grin and change into my American schoolgirl outfit. I walk out to find Henry with a sour look on his face. He scratches the sleeve of his cotton shirt. "This itches." I straighten up his tie and smile. "Try to be good, Henry. And call me Anne." He looks confused."Why would I call you that? Your name is Ayasha." I explain how the American teachers work and he crinkles his nose. "Gross," he whispers. We tiptoe past a sleeping Daniel (my stepdad). When we're outside, we head to the schoolhouse. I look around for my new friend Mercy, but she's nowhere in sight. I spot Enapay and Takenya walking to school. I wave to them. Henry and I head into the schoolroom. The teacher looks at us. She smiles when she sees Henry, and I try not to roll my eyes. "Ah, Henry. I've heard so much about you." She speaks in English. I'm okay at it, but Henry isn't. I translate and he wallks over. She eyes me warily. "And you... Anne, is it? Fourth grade is over in the corner." I blush furiously. I speak hesitantly. "Um... I am... in the grade eight. Not four." She throws me a surprised glance, then points to another side. I pick a seat near the window and stare longingly outside at the sunshine. I rest my head in my arms and sigh. School was already boring, and class hadn't even started. -Ayasha

i wake up. excited about the hunt tonight. i get in my american school clothes. a blue plaid dress with a blue butterfly clip. my mom gives me my school shoes and i slip them on. i hate the feel of them. once i get outside i grab my tin pale and books. i take off my shoes and toss them aside i walk barefoot until i get to the school and slip on my moccasins. i hurry to my seat so the teacher wont see my shoes. i sit down and start to work the warm up problem on my little chalkboard..-lucy

after half of school I sit out and eat my lunch. Rabbit and carrots and some fresh juice. I see the boys practicin shooting arrows and practicing with normal weapons. I role my eyes thinking that next year I choose the one I will marry when I am 18. (you hav to marry young cause most Indians did not live that long) I decide I want Togo over there and practice with a bow. I go over there and pick up a bow. I hear boys chuckle and turn around. A boy steps out and speaks: no girl can use weapons! They are not strong enough! A woman without her man is nothing! He laughs at me. Wrong I say. A woman:without her,man is nothing. I make sure they understand,without woman man is nothing. After I look at there astonished faces I pick up the bow an pull back. I release.the arrow flies straight toward the tree and sticks in the target. I place the bow down and walk back,head held high,to my seat. I sit smile,knowing I showed them what girls can do.. -lucy

i run out of school. Embarrassed. I stuff my moccasins in my bag and run home barefoot. I cry as I take off my school outfit and put my normals one on. I put on my moccasins and run to the forbidden forest with my bow and quiver of arrows slung across my back. I run trough pounding the floor of the forest with my feet. I get o the spring and wipe away the tears. I hop in the spring in my under clothes. I swim to the bottom and sit while watching the fish swim bye.. -Lucy (one of her talents is holding her breath really long)

I run to my hut and take off the stupid school clothes. i put my shoes at the front of my hut so i don't forget to bring them tommorow. i change into my swimming clothes ( seal skin) and jump into the lake next to my hut. it refreshes my body so i can meditate later. now that im clean of body i get out of the ocean and meditate. mother said to get answers from meditation you have to sit for a whole 12 hours. i decide to sit until the hunt starts. i keep my sundial next to me and change into my hunting clothes so i don't forget to change into them later on. i start meditating and i talk in a different language. I sit in the back of the the classroom. After lunch, the teacher says we are going to be doing seperate activities, boys and girls seperate. She sends the boys out in to the yard behind the school. Enapay waves, and grins at me as he leaves.I wave back. Once the boys leave, Mrs. Campbell walks down the aisles, and for some reason, i get a sense of being in danger(takenya's talent is that she can sense danger), and i jump to my feet, and start towards the door." Where are you going Renee?" Mrs. Campbell asks sharply. "I-I....Home' i manage." Not feeling good." " oh no you're not" she snarls. she seizes my arm, and another girls arm, , and begins to drag us to the door. I yell, and fight, trying to get away. The other girls get up too, suddenly panicked, realizing the danger they are in. A few other teachers come in, and in a matter of minutes, they have me, and ten other girls tied put, with tape over our mouths. The others make it out, and run out into the school yard and start yelling, alerting the boys. Me and the other ten are dragged downstairs, and thrown in the back of a wagon. It hurtles away, and as we shoot down the street, i see Enapay, burst into the street, followed by the other boys, but they quickly fall behind. It is only then that i realize that i don't know where we're going, or why.and i start to cry, for the first time since i was five.-Takenya

A wagon is pulling by with the girls from school crying I pull back my bow but I black out. When I awake I am tied in the wagon,right next to ayasha.. Ok. What's happening I mange to tell even with the cloth over my neck. No one answers so I start to try to untie myself.. I realize i do not have my bow. I turn around to see my parents,crying. My dad and mom are tied up. My da is doing what I'm doing,trying to get lose. I think to myself he's gonna rescue us..-Lucy (the chief (lucys dad) did not know this was gonna happen..)

the wagon comes to a stop, and we are dragged out by big white men. one reaches for me, and i kick him in the shin, causing him to howl in pain. Then two more grab my arms. we are dragged into a large, damp chilly warehouse. we are all throw against one wall. "Now perhaps you are wondering why you are here" Mrs. Campbell says with a sneer. I manage to push myself to my feet. Two men hold me back from running at her. " You stupid selfish woman!" I scream furiously in my language. She looks at me in disgust, and i force myself to translate. " You...you are a selfish woman. you only care about self...why you bring us here? why you not leave us alone?" i manage, surprising myself with near perfect English. " Well my dear Renee" Mrs. Campbell says with a soft, threatening voice, and i feel danger. " You see, white boys need wives, and you are all single women...what did you think I was educating you all for? Careers?Ha! As if! No, all of you, will marry a white boy. And be his loving wife." She pauses, letting her words sink in. I am speechless in horror. I finally force myself to form English words. " We won't." I spit."Oh but you will!" she answers with false sweetness, "believe me, you will". I furiously lunge at her, but am thrown back against the wall. All the men and Mrs. Campbell leave. I hear the door lock tightly, and here the steps of the men guarding the door outside. I furiously lean against the wall."I won't" I say in English on last time. " I no care what you say Mrs.Campbell, I just won't."-Takenya

after 20 minutes i am done making 2 more shurikins i have 3 in total. i stand up and aim for the doors lock. i throw the shurikin and the lock opens up. the guards here the noise and i quickly sit down and hide my shurikins so they don't see. i then motion everyone to follow me. i kick the door open and try to fight the guards. the other girls are helping me too. i punch one in the chest and kick him in the shin and he drops to the ground. there are 2 more guards left.

( lucy is american member her backstory? i have an idea hehe) as the boys come in i realize they are our age. they seem suprised an english girl is here. I smile at them and when one comes up kick him where it hurts most. i curse in my language. another boy comes in. thick black hair, blue eyes, tan, ( not indian, english, but tan) he looks strong, but he is thin. my eyes start to melt but i realize whats happening. but something in me says not to be afraid. he comes up to me. i look in his eyes closely.. ja.. ja.. james? he steps back.. how do you know my name? he whispers.. I..Im lucy. we.. we were neighbors when.. when we were young.. i dont know how i could remember.. i was only two..him: Lu? wait... is that you? me: duh. him: what happened me: they are forccing us to marry. him: no, not that, i know that. but where did you go? me: you got treated horribley in that orphanage. right? ( he nods) me: well the indian chief.. he saw me. He did not want me to suffer. so he raised me. I was brought up indian. They took us away james. they took us, without anyones knowing. him: Lucy.. im so sorry. the priest walks by. James stands by me. the priest announces us husband and wife. James bends down him: dont worry Lu. i'll save you. I will save you AND your friends..me: thanks james. Really... we are taken away and assigned a small house. i sit on the bed looking out the small window. James sits down next to me. him: so. hows life been me: good, until today. i know how to shoot a bow you know? i beat a lot of the boys. and i am a good swimmer.. him: you can shoot a bow? me: yea. him: great! he hands me a old bow. me: where did you get this? him: they let us have weapons.. just in case.. nevermind.. me: what? tell me. him: you do not want to know. me: yes i do! him: fine, its incase you try to escape. me: but.. you.. him: no Lucy. im giving it to you. hide it. ok? tonight. at dinner. i will sit with you and your friends. i will get the boys away from you guys. tell them we will be escaping. in about two weeks. that night there will be the fourth. fourth of july. fireworks will be super loud. people will be mesmerized by them. we have only had them once. they wont be looking at you. you can escape. the girls will be in the kitchen. cooking. you can leave when you are supposedly doing that. ok? me: thanks james.. I get a boy with dark brown hair and knowing hazel eyes. When we first sees me, he looks confused. "Why did I get a fourth grader?" I look up at him. He's got to be at least a head taller than me. In English, I say, "For the last time, I'm thirteen!" I mutter, "Which is still pretty young to be married, if you ask me..." The boy puts out his hand to shake. "I'm Scott." I ignore it. "Ayasha." I mutter. Just to be nice. He tries to put his arm around me and I struggle away. "Let me make one thing clear- I am not your wife." Scott shrugs. "According to the church, you are." I feel sick to my stomach. Is this really it? No more art or freedom? THIS is the guy I'll spend my life with? Have a... family with? The thought is too disgusting to even take form. "I will not be a stupid girl, a useless girl, or a powerless girl," I mutter to myself. I make a silent pledge- I will fight this with all might. I am glad I got james. He won't do anything rash,and he used to be my best friend. I walk out. I see other girls, I see some scowl and some trying to hurt the guys. I decide to go into the kitchen. I see a small wood cabinet and open It. It leads to the outside. Apparently to a spring. That's where they get there water. I crawl in. When I get there I look down peering at the top of the spring. I smile knowing we can all escape from here on what James calls the fourth. I place my feet in and then my whole body. I swim down and swim away from the kitchen. I end up in a place like the woods. I know we could spend the night here after we escape. I am already drying and I do not want to come back wet do I start walking through the small woods. I finally am super dry and when I am I reach the edge. I run back to the house and tell James about what I found. he seems relieved,knowing we can make it out safely.. -lucy

( i can stay for an hour ) at night i try to escape through the window but louie sees me. louie: "stop. or i'll hurt you with this bow." me: "where-where you get that?" louie: "the gurads gave it to us in case you ran away." me: "you hold it back wards". him: "huh?" he shoots himself in the arm. him: "ow!"
i snicker and leap out the window. luckily there is a pond below and i land there. two guards are standing next to the pond and there asleep. i silently pull myself out of the pond and escape into the woods. i decide to stay until its really dark so i can sneak back in to save my friends. ( im gonna wave a red flag and when you guys see it at the window follow lucy into the opening in the kitchen she was talking about.)

(i get paired with a huge, strong boy. he has a sweaty upper lip, and ugly matted brown hair. His name is Charles. I refuse to attend the wedding ceremony, so i don't get married. The night, he comes to my room. He slams me on the wall and tries to kiss me. I kick him in the place it hurts most, and he hisses in pain. "you leave me alone" i snap, backing away from him. He comes at me. Just then, the door opens. a tall musclular boy bursts in. He is African American, with short, coarse black hair and big brown eyes. He skin is the color of cocoa,and he has big muscles. He grabs Charles, and throws him up against the wall. " you leave her alone, ya hear?!" he shouts, " She said leave her alone, you leave her alone!" the black boy throws Charles from the room. He turns to me. " You ok?" he asks, holding out a hand to me, helping me up. I nod. " What's your name?" he asks. " Takenya" I say " what is your's?" "Toby" he says. "I thank you Toby." I say. We start sneaking apples at dinner so we stock up on them. so do the other girls. they hide them in our cabinet also. i make a bow and a thing or arrows. i engrave my name and place it under my bed. I go to sleep, knowing this is the last night in these dreaded cabins..-Lucy

Ever since we agreed to start as friends, Scott has been leaving me mosty alone. However, when it comes to my artwork, he just won't let up. When I'm sitting by the stream, he sits down next to me. "Ayasha, will you show my your artwork again?" I shrug. He consists. "Pleeeeeeease." I turn and see him doing the puppy eyes that Henry always pulls when he wants something. I laugh. "Well, don't look so... pathetic about it!" I get serious and glance at my new paper and pencils. I decide to be nice, but I don't want to get TOO close, since we're breaking out of this horrid place. "Scott, how about I draw you? Because that's what FRIENDS do for each other." He poses dramatically and says in a breathy voice, "How about THIS?" I giggle. "Just sit!" I draw him for the next few hours. I show him his portrait and wait anxiously. -Ayasha

i wake up. its finally the fourth. the day we escape. i kick james in the leg. OWW he says. i smile. Your a very deep sleeper. I get dressed in the new clothes. I hate them. I want my old outfit back. I want to be free. Luckily James is gonna help us. I go knock on Ayasha's door. Not there. I then go to the kitchen and take an apple. The juice spills in my mouth. As I walk out I see more wagons coming. I know I wont be able to help them. It will be too big of a crowd and we will get caught. I go back in my room and sit on the bed. I look out the window missing my father, mother, and sister. She was the only one that did not get taken cause she was not there. I remember my father crying as they pulled me away. trying to break free of the guards grip. I sigh and start to make some more arrows out of some wood James brought me. By the end of 3 hours they are all done. I sigh and put them equally in the bows quivers for everyone. When it is lunch time i go into the kitchen. I sit down but then remember WE have to cook. I go in. I make a meal for every one who was in our tribe. With the boys who treat there " wifes " like dirt i decide to get them back. I spit in the batter and roll them on the kitchen floor. I put the names of the boys that are rude on the plates so they will surely have those bad biscuits. I bring them out and sit down. I wait.. -Lucy

So that's why they took us here? So we can get used to these life's, cause these will be ours? And there taking are land? Ohhhh no.. They will not take that from me! They took my freedom! They won't take my land. I then open the kitchen cabinet exposing the escape passage way. That's how. We will go during something they call fireworks. James says the guys will be mesmerized because it is the second year they are doing these fireworks. So. I have bows and arrows in our cabin. I will bring them under a basket. The spring that this kitchen thing leads to is next to a forest. We run through there. Run the whole night, then sleep during the day, with people on watch of course. We walk in the night. ( i hear a boom outside and james comes in) him: run. now. Fireworks have started. they will only last a minute or two. me: i let the other girls crawl in first. I go last. But then to my suprise James is behind me. me: what are you doing? him: your home. it sounded wonderful. and Lucy. Your my best friend. I cant let you leave me again. me: oh.. but wont they realize your gone? him: they will realize you too. I think people will wonder where there wifes went. Now go. me: i crawl through with james at my feet. I hear splashes. I know the other girls have made it to the spring. Its my turn and i jump in. I swim out of the way for James. when he jumps in i laugh a little. he yelled under his breath because its so cold. me: first time in a spring huh? it comes straight out of the earth. I swim under until i reach the side. I am the first one to get out since I can hold my breath so long and since I am a wonderful swimmer. I help them out. one by one into the forest.. When they come out i run in and grab the bows i hid at the edge. As they come out i hand them the bow and quiver of arrows. Once everyone is out i turn to the inside of the forest. me: lets go home.. -Lucy ( and ya i will gohstgirls)

we stop for the night. Me , Toby, Lucy, and Ukria (jst picking random names) make a small, temporary fire. We'll have to stamp it out when it get dark, but winter is approaching fast, and it's cold. As we sit around the fire, i undo my hair from it's braid, and slide off my shoes and socks. Toby sits down next to me. " Can you teach me some things to say in your language?" he asks. I nod. I teach him how to say hello, good bye, good morning, good night, im hungry, im thirsty, and teach me. He is a quick learner. He learns how to say everything by the time it gets dark. then Toby and James both stomp out the fire. As i lay down, Toby walks past me. " Good night Takenya." he says in the native language. as i go to sleep I feel the body warmth of James. Its so cold, but hes only my friend. I shiver for about two hours and give it. I get closer to James and rest my head on his chest. It rises slowly, then falls, then rises. I go to sleep fast.When i awake James has his arm around me. him: good morning. me: oh.. good morning.. I just.. it was.. so cold.. him: Its fine. as he gets up i see how strong he is. I feel like i start to melt but snap myself back to reality. only a friend i think, only a friend. We eat some meat that someone hunted in the morning. It taste so good. Fresh from the forest, not bought from a store. And it was cooked over an open flame, even better. We start to pack up our things and as we walk James starts asking about our language. he wants to learn it. I teach him hello,goodbye,sorry i am new at this language can you repeat? goodnight, run, look, left,right,up,down,horse,please,thankyou,chief, and daughter. He has some trouble but he finally gets it. We continue to walk, almost reaching home..-Lucy

( i like the idea of the houses being destroyed, we can have a new story line making them and rebuilding. As we reach the edge of the forest we realize everything has been destroyed. Hazel runs off and i look at the rest of them. me: so. I guess, i will see you at.. ( i remember miss campbell left..) dinner. bye. i wave and follow hazel. I lose her in the woods so i wait near the house. i see my mom at a fire pit, with the others. I run toward them. I hop on my mom, hugging her. her: Lucy! your back! thank goodness! ( she hugs me more) her: wheres Hazel? me: she went into the forest, probably looking for father. and.. what happened? the huts.. they are all.. her: we know. when you guys went missing this happened last night. me: we were hiding out in the woods, we knew they would come here.. but.. we did not know this would happen.. her: its not your fault Lucy. Now. your father was out looking for you. and we need to get some buffalo and poles ( they had poles, the poles were very rare, ( i learned it in social studies) sometimes the women would steal other womens poles and they would get into a fight, almost killing eachother. the tribes would always have to go north for them. so thats why they were rare..) me: where are the other dads? him: the fathers are getting the poles, the boys are taking care of the hunt. Now. Will you go scope out a buffalo or too? we need our house back. it is nearly winter and we can not go through it without a hut. I nod. I go into the forest and see my bow and arrow, the place i dropped it last time. I sit on a rock and sharpen the arrows. I run across the field till i get to some buffalos who are moving south. I see james talking to my mother, explaining to her and all. She does not look convinced. she looks at me and i wave. she nods and continues talking to James. Our huts are close to the buffalo, thank goodness or else we would have to go miles to get to them. I shoot down one. the others get the idea and start to run off. The one that i shot runs to, there hard to bring down. I pull back the string and shoot the same one. He goes down. I run over to him and kneel. i say a prayer : thankyou god, for the meat you have given us, for the gift of the buffalo. i then look at the buffalo. and thankyou for letting us have your meat and fur.I take out my knife and look away while i kill him off. I am glad he does not have to suffer.I see some boys walking by. I call them over and all five help me carry him. I get back to camp and lay the buffalo where our hut used to be. I will wait for father to get home so we can skin him. I cover him up with a blanket that was not destroyed, so the scent would not overwhealm. I know skinning the animals is a womans work, but mother is busy and i have not learned. I sit on a rock and wait for hazel and father..-Lucy

I scream when I see the village. "Mama! Henry!" I swiftly dismount and sprint into the wreckage. I nearly faint when I see half of Henry's favorite bear. I start to dry heave when I feel a hand on my shoulder. I push away until I hear a voice. "AYASHA! Calm down!" I look up. "Henry!" We hug. I pull back and wipe a tear from his eye. He asks/cries, "Where were you?" I half smile. "Long story. Oh, Henry, I thought you were dead!" We chat for a few minutes. "Where's everyone else?" We walk towards the forest. I see Lucy and Hazel. I run up to my hut and look at it. thank goodness it was only a temporary hut. i start to slowly rebuild it with wood i found laying around. i also find some ropes, twire, clothe, and other useful items. i also use the wrekage from my temporary hut to make the new, strong one.

when father and hazel gets back he teaches a how to skin and animal. It's hard at first,and the smell is overwhelming,but we get used to it and it gets easier. We put the meat in the ice house (back then they had houses where they kept the ice from winter,they covered it with sawdust to keep it cool. I read about it) we clean the hiss in the spring and when we get back the other farthers are back from there long journey. We get our share of poles and we start to gather our things,find our horses saddles,stirrups,running side reins,and the bit. We tie the piles together in te triangular cone shape. We lay our buffalo hides over it. In the inside we gather some logs and make two beds,one for our parents,and the other one for me and hazel (back then siblings that were close in age usually had to share.just from space and money. I read about that two) we set up a stone circle and lay scraps of wood in it. For a fire. We lay down some blankets in the corner for where we sit sometimes for prayers. I hang my bow and arrows over my side of the bed. We put blankets that survived over the beds. I yawn but go outside wondering if anyone needs help setting up their home..I see James. I run over. Hi. Him:hey Lucy! Me:you can stay in our hut. We can lay some blankets down for you until father can build you a bed.him:don't go through all that trouble.. Me:you can't sleep on the floor all the time. Now come on. Time for supper... -Lucy

i wait by the shore for the messengers to bring my horse sparkle. i have missed her very much and mom and dad have decided to send her to me with messengers on boats. in the distance i see the boat with sparkle in it. after a few minutes they arrive. the men give me her food and grooming kit made from wood and fur. they leave. i pet sparkle.
"i missed you so much" "Neighhh" "are you hungry my dear friend?" sparkle nods as if she understood.
i ride her into the woods and see rainie. i quickly wave and keep going until i see some berries. i sniff them and make sure they don't have poison in them. sparkle eats them happily. i get on top of her again and we keep riding through the forest. i ride to where i hung up targets on the trees for target practice. i am one of the only people who can arch and ride a horse at the same time. i hit all the targets while going at top speed.

I hear some people talking. Ever since we got back the English left us alone and w got a new teacher. The English tried to hurt our tribe by destroying it, but they only destroyed a few things and they built them up again before we got here. I sit next to James who is trying to make a bow and arrow. I can't help but laugh at his struggle. I help him and string the string to both of the ends. He flushes red, embarrassed.
It's starting to get dark and tonight is the night of the hunt. My dad knows, but not my mom, she would not let us go. I go into the hut and pull out my hunting outfit, I run into the back of the tippee and pull the curtain so I have privacy. I slip off my dress and moccasins. I put on the raccoon skirt. But it is not an ordinary skirt. It is like someone took scissors and cut Little lines almost to the soo so it is cute but easy to move in. My mother made it for me. It has leather which we got from trade under neath it so it is easy to the skin and then we sowed some raccoon fur on it, which was a hard task. I slip on my shirt that is a a dark grey. It is flimsy and airy and it was a top of a dress I used to wear but it got to small so we turned it into a shirt. It is a little shirt so it goes up 3 centimeters below my belly button so it shows some skin but that's because it is small but it is not tight, thank goodness. I then take the box of paint underneath a little shelf and stick my two pointer fingers into the black thick paint. I make one streek below each eye. My mother is out at moms night, which is new to the tribe but they talk about beliefs and their family and tips for a better behaved one. I scoff at that thinking I will never do that. It's to boring. I out my curly black hair up into a low bun leaving my pale skin shining ( member she is English back story up there cause she was adopted to the chief of the tribe, just if you don't remember) good thing tonight is Wednesday so we eat ith our family's. Me my dad James and little fox eat at the light Brown table. W have rabbit stew, biscuits, and cooked apples ith cinnamon. I eat quickly and polish my bow till it gets dark. When I see the sun setting and people going into their tippees I run out. I sprint to the woods with my bow and quiver of arrows on my back and wait at the edge impatiently for the night hunt..-Lucy

does anybody even check this site anymore? anybody. please say somebody does! please! now I just read the role plays as if it were a book. I realize I was REALLY annoying and REALLY pushy and REALLY bossy. sorry about that.
